Three Bronx teams fight for a spot in the PSAL soccer semifinals

Three Bronx teams are battling for a chance to make it to the PSAL soccer semifinals. Evander, Monroe and Truman are hoping to advance to the city final four.

Evander Childs, the top seed in the Class A bracket, took on the second seed Flushing. Flushing was able to strike first to make it 1-0, but just before the half Evander tied it up. In the second half it was all Flushing who went on to win 3-1. Evander finishes the season 10-5-1.

In the S bracket, Monroe, the second seed, took on top seeded Beacon. Monroe tried to come back from a 2-0 deficit but was unsuccessful. They finish their season 10-4-2.

And in the L bracket, another Bronx team also came up short. Truman was blown out by Martin Luther King, ending the teams hope of making it to the semifinals.
