Two Bronx high school women basketball stars verbally commit to Robert Morris

Two Bronx high school women basketball stars verbally committed to Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Wednesday. Crystal Ahmed from Lehman and Kendra Williams from Mount Saint Ursula will both suit up as freshman next year.

Ahmed didnt play last season after tearing a ligament in her knee. Two years ago, she started for Lehman and averaged 10 points and three assists a game.

School coaches say Williams was one of the best players in the Catholic league the past couple of years. This will be the fourth year she starts for Mount Saint Ursula.

Ahmed chose Robert Morris instead of North Carolina State, Wake Forest and Wagner. Williams chose it rather than Manhattan, Rider and St. Peters. Both girls will be coached by Sal Buscaglia, the former head coach of the Manhattan womens basketball team..
