Aquinas top Staten Island to advance to the city final four in girls' volleyball

In Catholic League girls' volleyball Class B semifinal play, top seeded Aquinas took on top seeded Staten Island team Notre Dame.

Aquinas, the four-time champion in the Bronx-Westchester Division, has never won a city title before. In Game 1, Aquinas beat Notre Dame 25-5 and then took Game 2, 25-20. Then in Game 3 with service ace on match point, Aquinas went on to win 25-23.

Aquinas goes on to play St. Vincent Ferrer Saturday at St. Ray's for the Class B City Title.
