Ferry Point Golf Course to finally be completed by 2006

The Ferry Point Golf Course is to be completed by 2006.

The Par-72 course was originally scheduled for completion last year. After years of delays because of environmental lawsuits, the Parks Department says testing issues have been resolved. The course should be completed by 2006 and opening play is scheduled for spring of 2007.

The course was designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus and needs 1.5 million cubic yards of dirt, enough to fill the Empire State Bulding.
