Hunts Point produce market joins forces with City Harvest to fight hunger

The Hunts Point produce market is teaming up with City Harvest to help those in need of a meal this holiday season.

A new report shows that there is a growing need for food supplies in the Bronx and citywide. The report finds that 300,000 more emergency meals were served this year than in the previous year.

The Hunts Point market and City Harvest will be handing out food just in time for Thanksgiving. Food Bank of New York City officials say the Bronx has the worst hunger problem.
