Safety concerns persist at River Park Towers despite efforts to combat crime
Safety concerns at River Park Towers continue to be an issue despite the fact that overall crime at the complex has gone down.
Reginald McDermon, the head of security at the complex, says guns and drug violence are a major problem. He says less than a week ago there was a double shooting in the complex's open plaza.
McDermon is working with his security team to turn things around. He says extra guards have been added to patrol the buildings at night. In addition, police patrols have increased and old security cameras are being replaced with new hi-tech ones.
