More than a dozen Bronx players named to Catholic H.S. All-League Team

The Catholic High School Football League recently announced its All-League Team with more than a dozen Bronx players making the cut.

St. Michael's topped the list with the most players selected from the Bronx. Right behind St. Michael's was Fordham Prep, then Cardinal Hayes and finally Cardinal Spellman.

Breaking it down by position, five players from the Bronx were named to the offensive line. In the quarterback slot, Fordham Prep's Chris Doyle, who threw for 1,177 yards and four touchdowns, was selected. Rounding out the QB slot from the Bronx was Cardinal Hayes' Dennis Mitchell, who had eight rushing touchdowns, threw for three touchdowns and rushed for 495 yards. Other players picked from the Bronx included three running backs and six defensive players.
