Monsignor Scanlan loses to Sacred Heart in their basketball season opener

In the basketball season opener for Monsignor Scanlan, they were beaten by Sacred Heart for the first time in five years.

In the third quarter, Sacred Heart was up 57-46. However, Scanlans Edward Wilson helped tie the score at 57 in the fourth. Scanlan took the lead in the last few minutes of the game. Then, Sacred Hearts Dale Gregory scored the winning point, leading them to victory 75-74.

Gregory scored a total of 23 points in the game. Wilson scored 15. Scanlan hopes to recover soon so they can make it to the Catholic League B finals for the fourth year in a row.
