Family, friends pack a BX church to say farewell to NYC firefighter killed in Iraq

Family and friends packed St. Benedict's Church in Throgs Neck to bid farewell to a New York City firefighter killed last month while fighting in the war on terror in Iraq.

Christian Engeldrum signed up to go to Iraq with the Army National Guard and was shipped out in September. He was killed in an accident in Baghdad.

Engeldrum worked as a firefighter in the Bronx and was dedicated to his job. He was well-known throughout the Bronx as someone who was a good friend and a loving father. Engeldrum leaves behind a wife and two sons.
