Fordham athletes honored for their success in football, soccer and track

Three athletes from Fordham University have been honored for the success in football, soccer and track.

Senior Tad Kornegay was named to the 2004 Walter Camp Division 1-AA and the 2004 Sports Network 1-AA All-American Football Teams. Kornegay led the nation with eight interceptions. Earlier this month, he was named First Team All-Patriot League for the second straight season.

In womens soccer, senior Beth Purcell was named Second Team All-Conference in a vote by league coaches. Purcell is the second member of the Lady Rams in school history to be named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team twice.

Over the weekend, Kerstin Greene set a new Fordham womens high jump record. The freshman was named A-10 womens indoor track and field rookie of the week for her performance.
