Bronx resident who died on football field honored by Northeast Football Association

The Bronx resident who died on the football field in September was recently honored by the Northeast Football Association.

Twenty-eight-year-old Dwonn Hadley was hit and lost consciousness while playing for the Bronx-based semi-pro football team, the Unknowns, on September 25. He passed away without regaining consciousness two days later.

The league recently held its all-star game at Columbus High School. During halftime, League Commissioner Mike Colasuonno honored Hadley by giving his parents a plaque and a football. Colasuonno also told Hadleys family that Dwonn meant a great deal to the league.
