Bronx children receive Christmas toys from several organizations

Several Bronx organizations put smiles on many homeless childrens faces with toy giveaways Wednesday.

Hundreds of Bronx homeless children participated in a toy giveaway organized by volunteers from Emergency Rights Inc., an organization that helps families in crisis. Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion and Santa Claus were on hand to hand out presents to the children.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Edward Egan visited the children at the Lawrence Hickey Center for Child Development. The center is for children with emotional and developmental needs. Egan joined the kids in their classrooms and later gave away toys.
