BX residents looking to make a difference urged to join local community boards

Residents interested in making a difference in their area are being urged by the borough president to join one of the 12 community boards in the Bronx.

Community board members work with local politicians on such issues as quality of life, budgets, and crime. The boards represent the 1.3 million residents in the Bronx.

Applications are being accepted through February 11. To obtain an application you can log onto the borough president's Web site or call (718) 590-3914.
