Roads throughout the Bronx remain slick with temperatures hovering in the teens

Drivers in the Bronx are urged to use extra caution Monday, as roads remain slick following the Blizzard of 2005. Tips to stay safe on the roads include avoiding sudden stops and turns, and breaking gently.

Meantime, Department of Sanitation crews are working hard to clear all secondary roads, bus stops and crosswalks. Alternate side of the street parking will remain in effect until Saturday, but drivers must adhere to parking meter rules.

For more information on parking rules, drivers can call the city's hotline at 311.
