Firefighters battling Bronx blaze find more than just flames at the scene

Firefighters battling a blaze at 1585 East 172nd Street found more than just flames at the scene. They say they discovered marijuana being grown inside the apartment where the fire broke out.

Fire officials say the blaze quickly went from a two-alarm to a three-alarm because the apartment was boarded up and locked. Four apartments were destroyed in the fire and several others were badly damaged. No one was seriously injured.

Investigators are looking into how the fire began. Meantime, police made an arrest after the fire was put out, but would not say whether it was related to what was found inside.
