Newly elected state Senator Jeff Klein sworn in at Concordia College

Newly elected State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx) was sworn in Sunday at Concordia College in Bronxville.

Klein said his top priority is to reform the way the state government operates. Klein?s plans include the creation of open budget hearings and term limits for committee chairs. He says he also wants to tackle the Medicaid problem.

Klein replaced the seat formerly held by Republican, Guy Velella who is now serving time in prison for bribery-related charges.
