Bronx boxer's golden gloves put to use training Golden Globe winning actress

A female Bronx boxer's fancy footwork and golden gloves were put to use training one of Hollywood's leading ladies.

Maureen Shea trains six days a week to be a fighter at the famous Gleason's Gym with trainer Hector Roca. That relationship is what helped her land the prime job of helping to train Golden Globe winner Hilary Swank for her new movie "Million Dollar Baby."

Shea says she connected with Swank's character in the movie. She says being a woman makes her no less a fighter, and being a fighter makes her no less a woman.

Right now, Shea says there's no telling where boxing will take her although there's talk of the 2008 Olympics. Shea's next match is at the Golden Gloves Tournament on March 2 at the Copacabana.
