Longwood parent group meets to discuss solutions to end violence in schools

The Parent Association for District 8 met Saturday to discuss solutions to end violence in schools.

The panel called ?The Voices of Parents on School Violence? allowed parents to voice their concerns about violence in schools. Parents who attended the meeting say changes need to be made to protect Bronx students from getting hurt.

Parents who attended the meeting are forming a community group aimed at reducing violence in schools. They are also working on a formal proposal to the Department of Education to rid schools of violence.
