Bronx residents wake up to several inches of snow

Bronx residents woke up to several inches of snow Friday morning, with some parts of the borough receiving up to five inches of the white stuff.

Drivers should expect traffic on city streets to be slow during the Friday morning rush. Although city crews have been out in force since Thursday night, the roads are still covered with a slick mix of snow and ice.

A winter storm warning remains in effect Friday morning for the Bronx and the rest of the city. The snow should end in the morning, but it will be cold Friday, with high temperatures for the day hovering in the 20s.
