Police get lost on the way to 911 call in Locust Point

Residents in Locust Point are raising questions about community safety after it took police 40 minutes to respond to a 911 call. The delay was caused by the fact that Locust Point Drive is listed as East 177th in police computers. East 177th Street was renamed Locust Point Drive more than ten years ago.

Locust Point residents are concerned about vandalism and quality of life issues that have plagued the area. The police chief has promised to fix the computer glitch and to announce the location of Locust Point Drive at every morning roll call.
