Bronx residents ready for another blast of the white stuff

Bronx residents are ready for another blast of the white stuff with six to 10 inches expected to hit the area.

Residents headed to local hardware stores to get some last minute supplies. Some residents say they are expected the worst and hoped to leave work early. The sanitation commissioner plenty of crews are working 12 hours to keep the main roads clear throughout the night. He said some secondary roads may not be clear by morning though. The city has also hired additional snow removal crews to help out.

For those who work outside or who will be shoveling later on, the NYC Office of Emergency Management says dress in layers, wear a hat or hood, keep clothing dry, and keep fingertips, ears and noses covered.

Anyone without heat during the storm can call the city's 311 hotline or the borough president's office at 718-590-3554.
