MAAC hands out awards to leading college hoop players

While the weather wreaked havoc on the basketball schedule, some hoop players were busy receiving honors from MAAC.

Keydren Clark was named both MAAC and MET Basketball Writers Player of the Week. The Bronx resident and St. Peter's junior was also named to the 1st Team All-MAAC for his play throughout the season. He leads the MAAC and nation in scoring. He also leads the league in steals. Joining Clark on the 1st team is Manhattan senior and St. Ray's grad Peter Mulligan. Steve Burtt was named to the All-MAAC 2nd team, and C.J. Anderson was named to the 3rd Team All-Conference and All-Rookie Team.

On the women's side, Serra Sangar was named All-MAAC 2nd Team. The Manhattan senior leads the Lady Jaspers in scoring, rebounding and blocks. Aubrie Dellinger and JoAnn Nwafili were both named to the All-Rookie Team. Both average eight points a game.
