Attorney General warns BX residents about pre-paid phone cards

The New York Attorney General?s office is warned Bronx residents Sunday that many pre-paid phone cards don?t disclose enough information.

The Attorney General?s office recommends before purchasing a pre-paid phone card to read the package closely and pay attention to surcharges and fees. They say the quality of service varies dramatically among pre-paid cards.

If any Bronx residents have any problems with pre-paid phone cards, they should contact the Department of Consumer affairs.
