Raiders fall to Xaverian in the Catholic League City Championship

The Raiders fell just short in the Catholic League City Championship game against Xaverian.

The game turned towards the end of the 3rd quarter. Rice had used an 11-1 run to open up a 10-point lead but then lost their defensive intensity. Xaverian was able to capitalize and responded with a 19-5 run spanning the 3rd and 4th quarters. Xaverian took the lead and never looked back.

Despite the loss, the Raiders will now go on to play in the Catholic League State Championships. They will play St. Mary's from Long Island in the semifinals.
