Parents back petition to slow drivers down around Bronx schools

Some parents say drivers need to slow down when close to Bronx schools. Parents feel something needs to be done to keep their children safe.

Parents say children have gotten hit around Public School 28 and parents worry the children that walk home could get hurt. Parents are signing a petition to enforce the speed limits. The petition would include better signs indicating limits and speed bumps.

The Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy coalition is working with the group Transportation Alternatives on the petition.
