Hundreds of Bronx residents celebrate Saint Patrick?s Day

Bronx residents celebrated the Irish with hundreds turning out for the seventh annual Saint Patrick?s Day Parade in Throgs Neck on Sunday.

Children waved Irish flags as bag pipe players made their way down East Temont Avenue. One spectator was proposed to and caused the parade to be held up for approximately ten minutes.

Viewers said spectators didn?t have to be Irish to truly enjoy the parade. Many said it was a nice way to spend time with their families. Many in attendance said they were already looking forward to coming next year.
