Fire investigation in the Bronx turns into a homicide after man found stabbed

What started as a probe into a fire at 21-15 Ryer Avenue is now a homicide investigation after the body of a man was found stabbed.

Police say 54-year-old Marvin Page was found inside his first-floor apartment with burns to his body and stab wounds to his back and throat. The medical examiner is still working to determine the cause of death.

Fire officials say the blaze was confined to Page's apartment and no one else was injured. Police are asking anyone with information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
