Bronx Christians mark start of Holy Week with annual tradition

Many Bronx Christians marked the start of Holy Week Sunday by gathering in Morrisania for an annual tradition.

Bronx parishioners from 12 churches gathered to reenact Jesus? return to Jerusalem with a processional through Morrisania. Christians from the Bronx waved palms and recited prayers.

Parishioners said they would like to get all of the churches in the neighborhood together to get involved in the annual tradition. Holy week ends next Sunday with Easter.
