Pelham Bay residents say graffiti problem is getting out of control

Residents living in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx say problems with graffiti are getting out of control. Pelham Bay residents say graffiti is usually a big problem in the spring and summer months. But this winter, they say, has been particularly bad. One of the most recent offenses was the graffiti scrawled across the walls of the Pelham Bay Public Library. Storeowners in the area say they have seen an increase in graffiti on their buildings as well. Most residents say part of combating the graffiti problem is getting rid of it as soon as it pops up. The graffiti on the library will be removed Friday morning.
