Traffic pattern changes causing headaches for commuters in Throgs Neck

Residents say traffic pattern changes in one Bronx neighborhood are causing headaches for commuters. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) is in the middle of a massive reconstruction project in Throgs Neck. Workers are building three new bridges, causing road closures and detours in the area. Drivers say the signs to redirect traffic are confusing and are making for dangerous driving conditions. DOT officials say they have held several community meetings to address concerns or problems with traffic flow, but the changes will remain in effect throughout a large portion of the project.
