Ribbon-cutting ceremony for Morrisania's Home Street Campus playground

It's a ribbon-cutting ceremony that was years in the making for parents, teachers and students at Morrisania's Home Street Campus. More than 1,000 students at P.S. 212, M.S. 158 and M.S. 267 now have a new blacktop playground they say they've all been dreaming of for a while. School officials say parents have been responsible for transforming what was once an unsafe lot into a playground. The playground features a baseball diamond, six basketball courts and a handball court. Parents and students say they'd also like to build a new jungle gym for the younger kids.
