West Farms Career Center helps Bronx teens find summer jobs

With summer just around the corner, many Bronx teens will be looking for summer jobs. The West Farms Career Center started accepting applications Monday for its Summer Youth Employment Program. The program sets teens up with minimum wage jobs at various Bronx businesses. Members at the center say they usually receive 900 applications each spring and place about 300 teens in new jobs. Many of the teens go on to part-time positions with the company they work for. The deadline to apply for the program is May 16.
