Borough launches anonymous tip line for residents to report drug activity

Borough officials launched an anonymous tip line Wednesday in hopes of cracking down on drug activity.

According to Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion Jr., the same Bronx streets where kids walk home from school are the same streets where drug dealers make a living. The new tip line is a way for Bronx residents to let police know where drug deals are happening.

Many Bronx residents say they know where the drug deals occur and wouldn?t hesitate to report them. Residents who do call the tip line should have specific information ready, such as the time of the drug activity and an address of where it happened.

The anonymous tip number is (718) 590-3551.
