Vendors wonder when fish market?s move to Hunts Point with take place

The Fulton Fish Market?s move from Manhattan to Hunts Point was scheduled to be complete months ago, but the date keeps getting pushed back. The move is supposed to bring hundreds of new jobs to the Bronx and help make the fish industry stronger. Wholesalers in Manhattan say the new facility will give them breathing room and help expand business. The move has been pushed back twice, with a new date scheduled for June. Vendors say they are waiting for the city to make much-needed repairs to the new market that is riddled with problems. Fish wholesalers are supposed to meet with city officials to get the latest updates on their new Bronx location next week. They say that meeting will probably have an impact on whether the Hunts Point location opens in June or later.
