A program is helping local farmers and Bronx residents buy groceries for a better price all year long.

The program is called Community Supported Agriculture is located throughout the Bronx, including in Riverdale. The program offers fresh produce from June through November. However, the Riverdale location plans to be the first to expand services for the whole year. The group is also opening several more stores throughout the Bronx that keeps locally grown products closer to home.

Farmers bring their products every Thursday starting in June. For now, April is still considered winter so farmers are only bringing products once a month. There are seven other Community Supported Agriculture locations throughout the Bronx.
