Police arrest 15-year-old in connection with fatal stabbing on BX subway platform

Police arrested a 15-year-old Wednesday in connection with a fatal subway platform stabbing.

The stabbing happened at the 183rd Street subway stop on the Number 4 train platform in University Heights Tuesday. Police say the teen stabbed 18-year-old Marvel Martinez in the head and back on the northbound platform. Martinez, a DeWitt Clinton High School student, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Barnabas Hospital. Two other teens were injured in the attack.

Police say the attack was over a girl. Investigators are still searching for three other suspects.
