Some Bronx doctor?s offices starting to fill up with allergy sufferers

Some doctors say allergy season can be bad because of the borough?s high asthma rates. Dr. David Rosenstreich says during this time of year in the Bronx there will be a lot of problems for asthma patients because of tree pollen.

Many doctors say regular check-ups are important for allergy patients who have asthma. Bronx residents are also urged to keep windows closed and use air conditioning to avoid pollen. Some doctors recommend people use over-the-counter medications for allergies, however, allergy shots are also available.
