New scholarship fund aimed at helping Bronx students attend Catholic schools

A new scholarship fund is aimed at helping more Bronx families send their children to Catholic schools. The Cardinal's Scholarship Program is run by a national non-profit organization called the Children's Scholarship Fund. It will provide scholarships to 2,000 Bronx and city school children each year, over the next eight years. Scholarships are only available for students currently enrolled in public school and they must be entering kindergarten through the sixth-grade. Families can get scholarship applications directly from one of the 47 schools that are participating in the program.
