Bronx kids spend free time cleaning up their community

Bronx kids spent Saturday cleaning up their community.

The children are members of Norwood?s Action Club. They spent most of their day cleaning up Kossuth Playground. The Norwood?s Action Club is an after school program that tries to fix problems in their community. Along with cleaning, they also repainted to get rid of graffiti. Many kids said they were just glad to make a difference.

The group?s next project is to try to get more funding for Bronx parks. They plan to attend a forum at City Hall to let officials know how important parks are to them.
