Bronx Catholics have mixed reactions as who they want as the next pope

As the conclave in Rome prepares to meet for selecting a leader for Catholics, Bronx Catholics have mixed reactions about the kind of person they want to fill the position of pope.

Many Bronx Catholics say they don?t want anything in the church to change under new leadership. They say they like what Pope John Paul II did to better the church. However, there are some Bronx Catholics who are ready for some changes. Some say they would like women to have more of a role in the church. Others say they think it would be better if priests were allowed to marry.

The conclave will begin meeting Monday. Cardinals met during the week of mourning to discuss details and talk about problems the church is facing. It could take a few days before a new pope is selected.
