Bronx job training center connects businesses with job seekers

A new program, Hunts Point Works, is connecting Bronx businesses with residents looking for work.

The program, which has been open for a month, is a collaboration between the city and local community organizations. Its goal is to have employers and employees make a connection. Hunts Point Works also offers job readiness training for those seeking employment.

A spokesperson for the program says even those residents who have a criminal record are taught to deal with a negative work history in a positive way. For more information on Hunts Point Works call 718-842-1000.
