Many Bronx residents happy with cardinal conclave's choice for new pope

Many Bronx residents celebrated Tuesday when they heard that a new pope had been chosen after a second day of voting at the Vatican. The cardinal conclave selected 78-year-old Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany who will be known as Pope Benedict XVI. Churchgoers at Saint Barnabus Church in Woodlawn say they are pleased with the cardinals' choice. Pope Benedict XVI is the first German pope in centuries and was a close adviser to Pope John Paul II.
