Second-grade student falls from rooftop at Sacred Heart School in Highbridge

A Bronx second-grader fell three stories from the rooftop of Sacred Heart School in Highbridge Friday morning. Now, parents are questioning how the 8-year-old got on the rooftop in the first place. According to officials from the archdiocese, the student asked his teacher if he could go to the bathroom, when he wound up on the rooftop and fell. Officials insists that there are security measures in place and that the rooftop should not have been accessible. Some parents say the incident creates concerns over student safety. But school officials say parents shouldn't be worried considering this was an isolated incident. School officials say the boy, who was taken to Lincoln Hospital, will be all right.
