Report shows homicide in the Bronx is on the rise from last year

A new report shows that every borough, except the Bronx, is reporting dramatic dips in the number of murders this year. The 43rd, 44th, and 45th precincts are reporting an increase in murders from last year. Police say they are looking into why murders are up in the Bronx. With almost a third of the year gone, the city is on track to come in with the lowest homicide rate in at least 40 years. Police say the total number of homicides in the city will likely tally in around 450 for the year.
