Bronx residents take to the streets to rally against child abuse

Bronx residents took to the streets Saturday to rally against child abuse.

The Bronx Task Force on Child Abuse Prevention hosted the rally where parents and children marched along side police officers. Task force members say Bronx residents need to be more educated on child abuse.

Officials say the Bronx ranks the highest in child abuse cases of all the five boroughs. Task force officials say educating children in school is the key to prevention. They also say the most important thing parents can do to prevent abuse is to talk to their children often so they are comfortable with communicating.
