Lady Jaspers win their second straight MAAC championship against Siena

The Lady Jaspers won their second straight MAAC championship against Siena Sunday.

Manhattan?s women?s lacrosse team won their second title in a row with their third coach in three years. The Lady Jaspers easily beat fourth seed Marist in the semifinals, setting up the Siena match in the finals.

Manhattan was up 7-0 at halftime and 11-2 midway through the second half. Both Ashley Devins, with 12 saves in the game and Victoria Carman, with two goals and three assists, helped lead the Lady Jaspers to a 12-4 victory.

Devins was named tournament MVP with Pheterson named to the all-tournament team.
