Merchants from the Bronx Terminal Market head to court to fight eviction

Merchants from the Bronx Terminal Market head to court Thursday to fight their eviction. Owners of the 23 businesses that make up the market say a new development plan does not include or protect them. The merchants were supposed to be out last Saturday, but they are hoping a judge will give them an injunction to reverse their eviction. The merchants claim the $8 million assistance program offered by the site's new landlord is unfair. Instead, they want to be included in the retail complex planned for the market space.
