City Council hears complaints from Bronx students at 'Kids Only' hearing
The City Council heard complaints from Bronx students Saturday at the second "Kids Only" hearing.
Some of the students' concerns include overcrowded classrooms and dirty, under-stocked bathrooms. Other issues brought to the attention of the Council included lack of after-school programs and safety concerns.
City Council Education Committee officials say they will address every concern at each of the schools from students who testified. They say they will start by sending letters to the schools asking to look into the problems.
The first "Kids Only" hearing in March resulted in a report by the education committee. The report showed students citywide aren't happy with conditions in and around schools.
