Bronx has one of the highest numbers of HIV/AIDS cases according to new report

The Bronx continues to have one of the highest numbers of HIV and AIDS cases in the city, according to a new report released by city health experts. The report says one out of every six people in the nation with HIV or AIDS is from New York. In the Bronx, HIV and AIDS rates are the highest in Highbridge, Morrisania, Hunts Point, Mott Haven, Crotona and Tremont. In an effort to curb the number of cases in the Bronx, the report recommends an increase of condom distribution, an expansion of voluntary testing and more community outreach programs.
