Fallen soldiers from the Bronx remembered in Edgewater Park

Bronx men and women who gave their lives fighting in the armed forces to keep the country safe were remembered in Edgewater Park Sunday.

Edgewater Park volunteer firefighters led a parade with local politicians and community leaders through the neighborhood. Dozens of Bronx residents turned out for the annual event to pay respects to people they say made a difference for everyone. Bronx residents honored fallen soldiers and those currently serving in the military.

During the ceremony, State Senator Jeffrey Klein announced he secured $5,000 for the Edgewater Fire Department.
